Android - Repair IMEI (IMEI Null, IMEI Invalid, Baseband Unknown) MTK CPU Based
IMEI invalid or baseband unknown may caused when you erase nvram section by formating phone or flash with different firmware (not matched with original version). Lets discuss the first problem, IMEI invalid or null.
Android IMEI Repair
- Root your phone (not every root software support your phone, you have try one-by-one), but here we will recommend you to use, iroot (PC / iroot apk) , kingroot (PC / kingroot apk)
- After root process, MTK DroidTools sometimes failed to detect rooted phone, you have to install Busybox apk and dbd-Insecure apk.
- If you see the green color box at MTK DroidTools you are ready to go fix IMEI.
- Now select IMEI/NVRAM button to start repair IMEI and input the correct IMEI and hit replace IMEI
- Reboot phone if necessary
The second way is using your phone to restore IMEI with MobileUncle apk and windows based program imei creator. in command prompt (DOS) write simple command like below:
imei.exe write-imei-1-here write-imei-2-here
Android Baseband Unknown
Just follow the steps from Android IMEI Repair above but here you don't need to input IMEI because you will write NVRAM section that mean baseband and IMEI is already in the nvram file. Yes, you need nvram from working phone or you can google it.
Remember if those steps doesn't solve your phone, you have success repair but IMEI and baseband still problem it may you have flash or update with wrong firmware. You can share and ask the nvram file with comment below.
