The online couponing platform Flipit Philippines has made an analysis into which Southeast Asian country has to work the longest to buy the Samsung S8 and we will see how many days do an average Filipino has to work to afford it.
The average price of the Samsung S8 (64GB) on the largest e-commerce platforms in, Southeast Asia (Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam, The Philippines and Singapore) and South Korea (where Samsung Group is headquartered) has been calculated and compared with the average monthly income per country.

Samsung S8 in the Philippines is the third cheapest among the Southeast Asian countries at USD 798, with Malaysia being the cheapest and Indonesia being the most expensive. When it comes to all countries compared, South Korea is the most expensive.
While an average Filipino has to work 118 days to buy a Samsung S8, an average Singaporean can afford to buy one for just a 7-day salary. On the other hand, an average Indonesian would have to work 160 days.
Filipinos have to spend nearly 400% of their monthly income to buy their Samsung S8, together with Vietnamese. On the other hand, Singaporeans would spend less than a quarter of their monthly salary.
